# NowDSP

> NowDSP is a realtime audio processor for guitar, bass, keys and voice that runs in the browser, free: plug in, open https://realtimeaudio.app/nowdsp/ and play through 65 effects, one rig or several rigs at once. No drivers, no DAW, no plugins, no account; the audio never leaves the device. Every effect is a short formula the player can read and rewrite while playing.

- Free in the browser: every effect, several rigs at once (each with its own input, effects and volume), pedals and looper, formulas you can edit live, the whole workspace as editable JSON, and sharing it: other devices join with a short code to control and watch it. The browser version plays an hour every 12 hours, up to four effects at a time per rig; about 40 ms of delay. The paid app also unlocks one browser for good (no time limit, no effect limit).
- Play like (browser and app): pick your instrument, type a song, an artist or a sound, and NowDSP sets up the effects for it, with a preset for each part of the song (Intro, Verse, Chorus…) to switch with one tap. Presets can also be saved by hand: what is on and every slider, kept while one is lit.
- The native app (Android, iPhone, Windows; one-time purchase, coming soon) adds: ultra low latency (about 12 ms), ASIO support, uninterrupted sound (keeps playing with the screen locked, the window minimised or another app in front), sample rates up to 96 kHz, and multi-device (other devices join with a short code, as in the browser, and an app that joins can be a rig's input, run a rig or be the output; the sound goes straight between the apps).
- Privacy: the audio is processed on the user's own device and never leaves it. Nothing is recorded, no account, no ads or trackers. Only the text typed into Play like, and the instrument picked, go to NowDSP's server and an AI service (Google's Gemini or Anthropic's Claude). When an app or a browser shares its workspace, the controls pass through NowDSP's server; between two apps the sound goes straight from device to device, never through the server; a device that joined in its browser sends no sound.
